About Tony

In 2020, Tony Richens-Smith left a 34 year career in Information Technology to pursue his passion of helping both people and dogs. An unexpected heart attack in February 2021, naturally led to another field of writing.

He currently lives in the North West of England, in Lancashire with his human and canine family. The human side regularly having to put up with his other great passion - Doctor Who.

Canine Behaviour

Tony runs a very successful dog behaviour company, called Think Dog Positive, which helps people to build better relationships with their dogs. Click on the logo for more info.

His years of experience working with difficult behaviour and helping to change lives, culminated in writing the book “Not Everyone Wants a Hug”, which is currently available in both paperback and ebook formats from the "Books" section of this site.

Heart Awareness

Tony writes blogs and creates memes about his heart experience in the hope of helping others who may be in a similar situation.
